A woman who helped with Bobbi Kristina Brown’s hospice care has been arrested for allegedly impersonating a nurse, the Associated Press reports. Taiwo Sobamowo faces multiple charges, including identity fraud and nursing without a license.
According to the police report, Brown’s care at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Ga., was not affected by Sobamowo, 32. Sobamowo’s arrest and firing was first announced in an alert by the Georgia Board of Nursing on Aug. 5 after she failed to provide her license.
“We had no reason to believe that she was anything other than a good nurse with proper credentials,” Mallie Sharafat, the Homestead Hospice CEO said in a statement to the AP on Nov. 4. “As soon as the credentialing discrepancy was discovered by one of our employees, we immediately took action and notified the appropriate authorities.”

Brown died on July 26. She had been in a coma since she was found unconscious in her bathtub on Jan. 31. The daughter of the late Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown was 22 at the time of her death. Her boyfriend, Nick Gordon, has since been accused of injecting her with a “toxic mixture” that led to her death. Gordon has denied wrongdoing.
