Man terrifies customers in Florida convenience store by bringing a live ALLIGATOR with him

A man terrified customers at a Florida convenience store by bringing a live alligator in with him.

The man, identified by WJAX as Robby Stratton, is seen on video posted to Facebook walking into the store in Jacksonville with the gator's mouth taped shut.

Stratton approaches the counter and asks the man behind it: 'Y'all got beer still? Y'all ain't out, are y'all?'

He then sees someone in the back of the store and says: 'Is he taking the last bit of beer? You aren't taking the last bit of beer are you?'

Then, jokingly, Stratton runs at the other man - gator still in hand - as people in the store laugh before he grabs a 12-pack of beer.

First Coast News spoke to the man who posted the video to Facebook, who said that the incident was all in good fun.

'It was all fun and games. I knew everybody in there,' the unidentified person said.

Stratton told WJAX on Saturday that he brought the alligator with him after he found it in the back of a truck, although it is unclear where the truck was.

'I don't even remember coming up here,' he told the station. 'This store sells some good liquor and I drank a lot of it that night.'

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission is currently investigating the incident and no charges have been filed.

According to Florida statute: 'It is unlawful to intentionally kill, injure, possess, or capture or attempt to kill, injure, possess, or capture, an alligator or other crocodilian.'

Stratton told WJAX he thinks there may be some consequences for his actions.

'It was stupid and I'll be facing some charges here soon and probably go to jail. Probably,' he said.
