Pektra LaQuiche Edgerton, 33, was arrested and charged with impersonating an office
A Georgia woman has been arrested for using her probation officer friend's badge and gun to get free snacks at a QuikTrip.
Gwinnett County Police Officer J.T. Smith says he saw Pektra LaQuiche Edgerton, 33, inside the QuikTrip at Satellite Blvd and Merchants Way and felt her actions were suspicious.
Edgerton was said to have been holding a Glock 19 in a Serpa holster and Smith said that she avoided eye contact with him, according to a police report obtained by DailyMail.com.
According to WSB-TV, it is fairly common for convenience stores in the area to give first responders free snacks.
The 33-year-old left in her car but was pulled over a short time later by Smith, who wrote in his police report that he stopped her for having a broken brake light.
Edgerton was still wearing the badge when she was stopped. She was arrested and charged with impersonating an officer on August 21.
She has been released after posting $4,146 bond.

'Are you a police officer, or are you not a police officer?,' Smith can be heard asking Edgerton in the footage.
The woman responds: 'So a black person walks into a store with a badge and a gun and it's an issue?'
'It has nothing to do with you being black,' Smith retorts.
Edgerton would eventually admit that she wasn't a police officer, but stuck to her story of being an officer with the Department of of Community Supervision.
