Hill was responsible for directing and managing the music programming at BET, overseeing shows such as 106 & Park, Rap City, and Spring Bling. He was also the Executive Producer of the BET Awards and the BET Hip Hop Awards, as well as executive producer for other BET shows such as The Deal, The BET Honors, and Black Girls Rock!

Before his time at BET, Hill worked at MTV as Director of music programming for four years and was program director at WILD-AM in Boston, Massachusetts. He also worked for ABC Radio Networks and was executive producer of the Tom Joyner Morning Show.
